I lived there in 1973 working for Mr. Gee and sometimes for his brother in his reality office.. I ran the ancient switchboard, worked the Sunday Buffet and did all kinds of odd jobs for my room and 1 meal a day. Mr. "Jerry" ran the restaurant. Old fashioned telephone booths with the sliding doors in the lobby, lol. Met some interesting people, most down on their luck, including one famous artist! Talk about history! At night I would walk along the ocean front to the amusement park (roller coaster was not used by then) Actually was sad to hear it burned but not surprised. Never got to see the floor where the military exercises were planned and watched; supposedly too dangerous, was in bad shape. What memories.

One of the worst surviving examples of 1930s Art Deco style ever used in a public building. It looks like it should be the courthouse for Gotham City.

This facility appears to be vacant and for sale as of around May, 2010, and the city tax records indicate it's now owned by MHI next door. Perhaps they are expanding onto this lot.

When drawn, this building fell across a disjointed edge of two satellite images. The outline of the two land-side warehouses should be corrected if a new image becomes available.
